Battle Buddy Group
Battle Buddy Group is a proud division of GOS Vets, dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders who are experiencing homelessness, facing mental health challenges, or walking the path to recovery. Our mission is simple yet powerful — to provide hope, connection, and practical support to those who have served and now need a helping hand.
This is more than just a group — it’s a peer-to-peer support community, led by certified peer support specialists who are themselves veterans and first responders. Through shared experience, understanding, and encouragement, our Battle Buddies help one another navigate life’s toughest battles with strength and compassion.
We offer weekly group meetings via Zoom, providing a safe and supportive space for open discussion, fellowship, and healing. In addition to group sessions, we also provide individual peer support counseling by appointment — giving every veteran and first responder a chance to connect one-on-one with someone who truly understands.
In these early stages, GOS VETS focuses on connecting veterans with essential services and offering immediate relief through items such as blankets, backpacks, and other basic necessities. We also share valuable information about recovery programs, housing assistance, and community resources to help our heroes take the next steps toward stability and healing.
As we continue to grow, our vision is to build Heroes Home — a comprehensive residential program designed specifically for veterans and first responders in need. Step by step, we’re working to create a place where every hero can find comfort, community, and a fresh start.
